GEO returns to the National Space Centre, Leicester for its 5th annual Symposium on Saturday, May 10, when our prime speaker will be Professor Grant Bigg, head of the geography department at Sheffield University.

Latest Update

Dr John Remedios from Leicester University Space Research Centre will be giving a presentation relating to the Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget (GERB) instrument currently in service on MSG satellites, and the data it is generating.

GERB data is not disseminated via the EUMETCast system, so it should prove interesting to learn about it..

(Dr Remedios heads the department in Leicester which has responsibility for the instrument and its data. It is anticipated that members will have the opportunity to talk to Dr Remedios over lunch.)
