NEWS: APT Frequency changes.
On October 12th 2010 the APT Frequencies for NOAA-15 and NOAA-17 were interchanged.
This process was necessary because of a serious, probably fatal, problem with NOAA-17's AVHRR scan motor. The change will also alleviate interference from defunct satellite NOAA-9.
The new frequencies: NOAA-17 137.500 MHz. NOAA-15 137.620 MHz.

GEO VISIT TO EUMETSAT 2011

On July 7/8 GEO had another very successful, worthwhile and enjoyable visit to EUMETSAT Headquarters, their ground station at Usingen and the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt. EUMETSAT learned a little about GEO, it's memberships' talents and we most importantly learned about EUMETSAT's future programmes. There were other benefits - for example GEO members from several different countries meeting together, exchanging ideas and enjoying each other's company.

A complilation of members' photographs can be seen by clicking here.

Note: Clicking the second from right icon will show the slideshow in full screen mode. Clicking the middle icon will put the slideshow in auto mode.

An announcement of GEO's visit to EUMETSAT appears on their website here.
