GEO at Miami

December 2008

GEO was represented at the 2008 NOAA Direct Readout Conference in Miami, Florida, USA, by Francis Bell, who delivered a presentation outlining the roles of GEO and our Dutch sister group Werkgroep Kunstmanen in supporting amateur enthusiasts dedicated to direct reception of weather satellite images. The photographs below provide a flavour of activities at the conference.

A report on this Conference will be published in GEO Quarterly No 21 (March 2008), together with additional photographs. This will also provide details as to how readers can obtain CDs containing the full proceeding of the Conference, and background papers. GEO's own Powerpoint presentation will be included on these discs.
